Fees and Payment
I strive to provide gold-standard, evidence-based services to my clients. I am an out-of-network clinical psychologist. I do not bill insurance directly for my services. While this approach isn’t the right fit for everyone, it comes with several benefits. Clients have greater privacy and flexibility, and sessions are guided by clinical judgment and individual goals rather than insurance requirements, such as session limits, required diagnoses, or rigid documentation guidelines. Being an out-of-network provider reduces the administrative burden, which allows me to dedicate more time and energy to personalized, high-quality care.
I understand that this model may involve higher out-of-pocket costs and the added step of navigating insurance reimbursement. To help with this process, I am happy to provide a detailed “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company. I also encourage clients to review their out-of-network benefits in advance. To support you further, these reference guides can assist you in pursuing possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Many insurance plans will cover some or all of services from an out-of-network provider. Please contact your insurance provider to determine whether your plan will cover out-of-network services. For clients wishing to submit claims to their insurance company, I can provide a superbill for clients.
Payment is due at the time of the session. Personal checks, credit card and HSA cards are acceptable for payment.
Therapy
For the 2025-2026 academic year, I am offering a reduced rate for therapy to a limited number of college and graduate school students.
I use evidence-based treatments, which often last between 8 and 24 sessions (2-6 months). My goal is to help individuals and families learn the skills they need to thrive in their lives. I often do not see clients longer than 6-12 months, though each client’s treatment will be individualized to fit the needs and goals of the client.
My fees for therapy are as follows:
Initial Intake session: $220
Individual Therapy Session (50 minutes): $170
Family Therapy Session (60 minutes): $205
All other therapy services will be prorated based on the hourly therapy rate of $205 and this will be discussed with you.
Psychological Assessment
For psychological assessments, fees vary based on your specific needs and concerns. While I can provide a general estimate beforehand, the final cost will be determined after the initial intake session. The initial intake session is $220 for an hour-long session, which will help me understand your situation thoroughly so I can recommend the most appropriate, evidence-based assessment process.
I am committed to full transparency. Everything will be discussed with you after the initial intake session and prior to proceeding with testing, no surprises or hidden fees. My goal is to ensure the assessment is tailored to you and that you feel informed and comfortable every step of the way.
